How square feet → CFT works

Converting area to volume requires a thickness (height). The calculator converts your area to ft² (if necessary), your thickness to feet, then multiplies to get ft³. Alternatively, enter length × width × height and we multiply all three dimensions in feet.

Formulas

  • Area mode: ft³ = (area\_ft²) × (height\_ft)
  • Dimensions mode: ft³ = (length\_ft) × (width\_ft) × (height\_ft)
  • Helpers: 1 in = 1/12 ft, 1 m = 3.28084 ft, 1 cm = 0.0328084 ft, 1 m² = 10.7639 ft², 1 ft³ = 0.0283168 m³

How to use

  1. Choose Area × Thickness or Length × Width × Height.
  2. Enter values and pick units (ft, in, m, cm). The result updates instantly.
  3. Adjust the Decimals control for display precision.
  4. Use Share result to copy a concise summary.

Square feet to CFT — information

How many sq ft is in CFT?
They are different units. To relate them you need thickness. Use ft² = ft³ ÷ height(ft). Example: 20 ft³ at 0.25 ft (3 in) thick → 80 ft².
How do you convert feet to CFT?
If you meant square feet → cubic feet, multiply area (ft²) by thickness (ft). If you have three linear feet values (L, W, H), multiply them to get ft³.
How do you calculate 1 cft?
1 cft = 1 ft × 1 ft × 1 ft. In SI units that’s ≈ 0.0283168 m³ (≈ 28.3168 liters).
How to convert sqm to cft?
Multiply area in m² by thickness in meters to get m³, then convert: cft = m³ × 35.3147. The calculator handles this automatically.
